While there is still no word about the launch of Jio’s 4G services, Telenor is launching its 4G services in many cities pan-India. RCom is also losing its loyal CDMA subscribers as it delays its 4G launch. The other telecom operators are taking advantage of this by launching their 4G services across the nation. Telenor is one such operator.

This year Telenor has launched its 4G services in the cities of Varanasi, Agra, Vishakhapatnam, and Amravati. Now the Norwegian telecom operator has launched its next-gen 4G network in Anand, Gujarat.

Telenor Offers 10% Cashback on Recharges Above Rs. 120

Telenor currently provides cellular services in the telecom circles of UP (East), UP (West), Bihar (includes Jharkhand), Andhra Pradesh (includes Telangana), Maharashtra (includes Goa), and Gujarat.

The company has now rolled out its 4G network in Anand, Gujarat and is offering 10% cashback to all its subscribers recharging above Rs. 120 in a single transaction.

Telenor advertises its services as the ‘speediest internet services in 4G’.

“Introducing the speediest internet services in 4G! Anand, now experience high quality and superfast 4G speed only with Telenor,” as per the Telenor India website.

Well, we can only say that Telenor offers the fastest 4G services only after proper testing. It would be very tough for Telenor to push through the incumbents to be called as the operator with fastest 4G internet speed.

Telenor 4G Data Tariff Plans

The entry-level data pack is priced at Rs. 11 which offers 100 MB 4G data and comes with a validity of 1 day, post which the user would be charged 4p/20 KB.

The 1 GB 4G data pack costs Rs. 159 and offers all local and STD calls @25p/min while having a validity of 28 days. The 3 GB pack costs Rs. 299 and offers same calling tariffs having the validity of 28 days.

Telenor is in talks with other telcos for increasing its spectrum holding through sharing and trading as it plans to increase its 4G foothold in the country. The operator is also using ‘Lean GSM’ technology which was deployed Huawei Technologies on its 25,000 base stations.

The 4G internet war is getting started in India and would get into intense mode post the launch of Jio 4G. We will keep you posted on any new developments into the Indian 4G market. Stay tuned.
