The Norwegian telecom operator Telenor after launching its 4G services in Varanasi and Amravati has now launched them in Agra on the LTE Band #3 1800 MHz.
The telco has launched very attractive data packs in the region to attract first time users. The trial pack start from Rs. 11 and offers 100 MB 4G data for 1 day.
The 1 GB 4G data is valid for 28 days and costs Rs. 147 while offering local calls @ 1p/2s. The 2 GB data packs costs Rs. 247, comes with a validity of 28 days and offers similar calling benefits at 1p/2s.
Telenor users can confirm if their current phone supports 4G or not by sending an SMS to 59799 with Make<Space>Model.
Those who want to switch to Telenor 4G will need to visit a Telenor store for grabbing an LTE SIM. After you need to dial 1925 and select option ‘1’ for activating data services. You also activate data services by sending an SMS “START” to 1925.
Telenor Offers Night Data Packs Starting Rs. 2
The night data pack benefits can be availed only from 11 pm to 7 am. These night data packs also have built-in feature for preventing bill shocks to the customers. It caps the maximum amount that the user will be charged after he/she has exhausted the night data. A maximum amount of Rs. 5 will be charged per day @ 2p/20 KB post which would be able to use unlimited night data.

All Telenor users can avail these packs by vising Telenor stores or by dialing “*222*7*(pack price)#”. Alternatively you can also check Telenor app or their website for activating these packs.
Telenor reveals that around 24% of Telenor India subscribers use mobile data and the aim is to grow this number to 50% by 2017. The operator is looking forward to expand its data services in India by getting more spectrum either by spectrum sharing or spectrum auctions. As of now Telenor enjoys a userbase of 47 million subscribers in 6 telecom circles.
