In a surprisingly new development, and at a time when all of us are eagerly waiting for the launch of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio 4G services, Reliance Communications (owned by Anil Ambani) has launched super affordable 4G data plans.
According to PhoneRadar, Reliance Communications has launched these 4G services for its existing CDMA subscribers who would now be moving to its GSM network (compulsorily). RCom is shutting down its CDMA business and would now be focusing only on GSM 4G technology. And for that to happen it needs all its CDMA users to migrate to its 4G services so that it can launch 4G services on its liberalized 850 MHz band (in near future) and share it with Reliance Jio in various circles.
To motivate its loyal CDMA subscribers to shift to its GSM 4G network, Reliance Communications has come up with this attractive promotional data plans for them. These plans would be valid for both, prepaid and postpaid customers.
Free 10 GB 4G Data For All CDMA And Datacard Users
Apart from launching these promotional plans RCom is also offering free 10 GB 4G data to its CDMA and data-card customers.
If you are a Reliance CDMA user, then all you need to do is to dial 1299 and register a request for 4G upgrade. Alternatively, you can also visit your nearest Reliance Web World and ask them to upgrade you to 4G network.
Upon upgrade to 4G, the customers will not only get 10 GB 4G data, but would also get 1 GB 2G/3G data.
The 4G 10 GB data plan costs around Rs. 97 in most circles, except Gujarat where it is priced at Rs. 75 only.
A word of advice: Before you go all crazy and upgrade to 4G without even thinking twice, please note that your phone needs to support 4G LTE Band 5 (850 MHz), 3 (1800 MHz), and 40 (2300 MHz) for connecting to Reliance 4G network. All 4G LTE phones launched in India support these bands.

But if you are using an imported CDMA handset then you should check if your phone supports these particular LTE bands.
Do let us know your experience with RCom 4G as soon as you upgrade to 4G LTE on Reliance Communications. Happy upgrading!
