India’s largest telecom operator- Airtel has further expanded into the North-East by launching its 2G service in Arunachal Pradesh. With this launch, it has become the country’s first private operator to provide 2G telecom services in the remote parts of North-East India.

Airtel’s prepaid 2G services are currently available in Bomdila, Jameri, Zero Point, and Tenga Valley.

Airtel’s CEO- North Eastern States, C Surendran said, “The deployment of network at one of the most treacherous terrain in the country will help natives and tourists stay connected.”

Airtel still hasn’t updated its website for 2G plans for Arunachal Pradesh. But then, no operator takes its website seriously for updating/adding new plans. We guess that you would still be able to recharge your prepaid Airtel number with Rs. 10 top up.
If you are an Airtel (or wannabe Airtel) subscriber from Arunachal Pradesh, then please share your Airtel experience with us via the comments. It will help a lot of our readers while selecting their next network operator in Arunachal Pradesh.
