Just like Reliance and Airtel, Aircel has also launched a special rescue and relief helpline to help people locate their friends and dear ones in the areas affected by cyclone Hudhud. Hudhud has caused major damage to telecom networks leading to a complete chaos in coastal areas of the state.

Aircel had also sent advisory SMS to all its subscribers just before the cyclone hit the coastal areas of the state. And now, with this free rescue and relief service, Aircel is showing how it cares for its customers. To use this helpline, people have to dial 1949.

1949 – Cyclone Hudhud relief helpline is available free of cost to all Aircel customers throughout India.

Reliance and Airtel users in Andhra Pradesh can also dial 1949 (toll-free) for enquiring about the last known locations of their near ones.
