India’s leading telecom operator, Bharti Airtel is leading in 4G network deployment as well. Continuing its 4G launch spree, it has launched 4G in Udaipur. Rajasthan.
The next cities in line for Airtel 4G deployment are Kota and Ajmer. Airtel 4G can accessed via 4G supported phones, tablets, dongles, and 4G hotspots.
“As customers in Rajasthan show an increasing propensity for consuming data services, we at Airtel are excited to expand our 4G services in Kota and take the lead in introducing customers in Rajasthan to their first ever experience of blazing 4G speeds. We are committed to augmenting our 4G presence to more regions across the state and deliver a compelling network experience for our customers in Rajasthan – now and in years to come,” said Manoj Murali, CEO at Airtel Rajasthan on the launch of 4G in the state.
Airtel also hinted towards the extension of its Project Leap in the state which would lead to a greener environment and contribute towards a sustainable network.
Airtel Instant SIM Swap Service In Rajasthan
To boost the conversion to 4G network, Airtel has also launched SIM swap service in the state which would allow the subscribers to switch to an Airtel 4G SIM within a few minutes. Here are the steps to be followed:
- SMS SIM <20-digit SIM number> to 121 from your Airtel phone.
- Reply with ‘1’ to confirm and wait for the phone to get disconnected from the network.
- Insert your new Airtel 4G SIM and select LTE in network settings. That’s it.
Airtel 4G Gets Launched in Kannur, Kerala
Leading its 4G deployment spree in Kerala, Airtel has launched its next generation 4G network in the city of Kannur.
This takes the total number of areas covered by Airtel 4G in the state to 100. It is worth noting that Airtel achieved this feat in just 6 months, while Reliance Jio has been deploying its 4G network ever since.
“We launched Kerala’s First 4G Network in Kochi last August and in just six months our 4G presence has spread to 100 towns. As customers in Kerala show an increasing propensity for consuming data services, we at Airtel are excited to take the lead in introducing the market to the power of blazing 4G speeds,” said George Mathen, Hub CEO at Kerala and Tamil Nadu, Bharti Airtel.
Airtel has also launched its Project Leap in Kerala for improving its network quality. It must be noted that Airtel has already started deploying the advanced 4G LTE-A in Kerala capable of delivering speeds up to 135 Mbps.
