Our Take…

These heavy-usage plans might not suit the needs of a regular mobile connection user. Also, these packs are priced too high to make a difference, in my honest opinion.

These packs also bear a striking similarity to Airtel’s Infinity Plans which were launched about a month back. Idea Cellular is also trying to do the same and gain some additional users by launching these packs.

It is worth noting that Idea Cellular is facing cut-throat competition from Bharti Airtel in the telecom circle of MP and Chattisgarh. Airtel has managed to add 1,22,368 users in the circle of MP & Chattisgarh, according to reports released in August, 2015. Idea on the other hand, could only add 19,310 users in the concerned circle and is thus trying too hard to bag new mobile phone users by launching new packs.

Idea Cellular is also planning to its own FDD-LTE 4G network in the circle by early next year. Let’s wait and watch how things pan out for Idea. After all, ‘An Idea can change your life’.
