Nobody would have imagined 3G data getting so much. At this point of time we are all used to subscribing to expensive 3G internet plans costing about Rs. 250/GB. We all have been hoping to get cheaper 3G data and guess what? That time has come.

We had earlier reported about Reliance CDMA offering high-speed EvDo data at an unbelievable price of Rs. 149 for 30 GB valid for 30 days but the pack didn’t work at that time.

How To Get 30 GB 3G Data For Rs. 149?

I couldn’t recharge my Maharashtra circle prepaid CDMA Reliance number a few weeks back and wondered whether this pack for only for marketing purposes. I contacted customer care several times but to no avail.

But don’t you worry about this now. Now you can easily get this pack if you follow the below instructions carefully:

1. This is only valid for new connections. So, if you have an old connection then please don’t waste your time in trying to get it work.

2. Procure a new Reliance CDMA MH circle SIM. Get it activated.

3. Recharge it with Rs. 149 data pack.

4. Enjoy high-speed data even while roaming in Reliance network.

Note: The actual SIM at the user-end depend on the device. Reliance CDMA has launched EvDo. Rev. B in Maharashtra and a few other select circles. So you’ll better speed in these circles as compared to circles with EvDo Rev. A network.

You would also be able to enjoy this pack if you are roaming in a circle with RxTT (2G) network, but then you won’t get 3G speeds.

Speed Results

We conducted Reliance Pro3 (EvDo Rev. B) speed tests a while ago and as per those results we conclude that if you’re on Reliance EvDo Rev. B network with good signal strength (-80 dBm or stronger) then you can expect the ping to be around 76 ms. Your average download and upload speeds should be 187 KBps and 172 KBps respectively.

I know that this is not even half of the speed that you get on other GSM 3G networks but you if compare their price/GB to Rs. 5/GB then you’ll have no reason to complain.

Enjoy the super cheap 3G internet. Cheers!
